November 15, 2022 — Underground Mysteries
Another case has been solved by forensic investigation company, Underground Mysteries.
For two years, Arthur S. McBride remained missing from his family. It was not until 2022 that he would get his name back, after I saw a photo of an unidentified man who had been deceased since 2020 from Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Through research, I was able to conclude that this unidentified man was a man named Arthur McBride. However, there was no missing persons report for Arthur. I had no idea whether or not he was truly missing. I contacted his family, and they informed me that they had not heard from him in about two years, but he was not reported missing because he had been living a transient lifestyle and they imagined he grew estranged and ceased contact. I sent his family member a photo of him, and she assured me that Arthur was in fact the unidentified man. I sent the tip to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, and the family member went in the office to claim his remains.
Arthur was found in his wheelchair in an alley in Chicago. His family is devastated that he remained in the morgue that entire time, but they are glad to have closure. His original case number through the Medical Examiner’s office is ME2020-00787. Arthur’s case did not receive any media publicity neither before he was located nor afterwards, so I wanted to shed light on this case.
