For nearly three decades, Claude Henry Ellis, Jr., born August 24, 1968, has been missing without a trace. Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Claude vanished around 1996, leaving behind unanswered questions and a void that has lasted nearly thirty years.
What makes this case especially concerning is that no official missing person report was ever filed, despite his complete disappearance from all public records. Claude’s driver’s license was never renewed, and there have been no signs of employment, travel, or identification activity since the mid-1990s. His vehicle was reportedly found abandoned in a Walmart parking lot, with the keys left inside the vehicle. This detail marked the last known trace of his presence. Claude’s case is currently unreported, and I am hoping to help change that.
Claude can be described as an African American male with black hair and brown eyes. His height and weight are currently unknown.
I first learned of this case after his son’s mother posted the story of his disappearance online. This is the first publication on his disappearance since her public plea. She hopes that someone will remember something or will come forth with clues.
Although Claude was born and raised in South Carolina, members of his family are now located in Georgia. His father, Claude Henry Ellis, Sr., has since passed away, leaving surviving relatives still uncertain of what became of him.
