Here is an underrepresented missing person case of a woman who vanished in either 1990 or 1991. Penelope J. Walker was about 22 years old and living in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana when she left her residence to travel to Jennings, Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana, which is an approximate 40 minute drive. There is very little media recognition in her disappearance, and I have not yet attempted to reach out to her family; however, I intend on doing so to offer my assistance in helping in the search for her whereabouts. I wanted to publicize this case first to create awareness. This case was just added into NamUs (the US governmental missing person database) in May 2023. It seems as though this case flew under the radar for all these years. Let’s bring this socially stale case a new light, shall we?
Walker is an African American female with dark brown or black hair and brown eyes. She is 5’6″ in height, and she weighed about 135 pounds when she was last seen. Due to how many years have passed since her disappearance, her exact missing date is unclear. Walker would be 55 years old if alive today.
I did some research into Walker’s case by searching for and sorting through old documents, in order to begin to recreate her timeline. Born on December 13, 1967, Walker was listed as living on Gadwall Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1990. She also has records showing an old residence on 18th Street in Fields, Louisiana. I found a public record of her living on Chestnut Street in New Iberia, Iberia Parish County, Louisiana in 1995, which is 4 to 5 years after her suspected missing date; however, it is uncertain if there is an error in this public record. In previous years, she also shows as having lived on Lauren Lane in Jennings.
The remaining circumstances behind Walker’s disappearance are unclear.

I saw her FBC info and if you mean the address from 2009 from 18th St, I looked into that one when I wrote this. She did live there, but I was told the date was off. I had spoken to her relative after I wrote this. She lived with her 2 relatives, Theresa & Jonas, at this address. There was another record from 2011 mismarked as well on another site. I really don’t know if it was mismarked, but this is what her relative told me.
