UNDERGROUND MYSTERIES — written on October 11, 2021, 11:20 PM

Update: He has been located safe.

Robert Samuel Watts, Jr. has not been seen or heard from by his family or friends since October 10, 2020. A friend of his reached out to me to give me details of his disappearance. Watts attended a funeral in Chicago, Illinois and later went to the Ashland Motel on West 47th Street in Chicago. He informed his children that he would take a nap at the motel before heading back to his residence in Dexter, Missouri in his bluish-gray 2021 Jeep Cherokee. He did not have a cell phone in his possession at the time of his disappearance. His time allotted at the motel room ended at 2:00 AM on October 11. None of his bank or credit cards have been used since the 10th.

Watts suffers from a cardiac condition, atrial fibrillation, and is reliant on medication.

Born on October 24, 1959, Robert is almost 62 years old. He stands at 5’8″ tall and weighs about 190 pounds. His race is African American. He has black/dark brown hair and brown eyes. He has one tattoo on one of his arms of the letter G and the letter D with a big X between them. He was last seen wearing a black Columbia shirt with “Columbia” written in white ink on the front and shorts. (He may have changed his outfit to wear dress clothes for the funeral.) He may be wearing black-rimmed eyeglasses, a tan Chicago Bulls baseball cap with the bull logo on the front, and a large chain with a cross.

If you have seen Robert Samuel Watts, Jr. or his vehicle, please contact the Dexter Police Department at 573-624-5512.
