Angela Dawn Hopkins Allen’s family and friends have not heard from her since about May of 2015.  At first it may have been presumed that Angela was just busy living her life, but after months passed, her family and friends grew concerned.  Because Angela had been living semi-nomadically and moved around often for years, it was not originally suspected that she was a missing person.  She was also estranged from her husband at the time of her disappearance. 

Years ago, one of Angela’s cousins urged authorities to do welfare checks on her at some documented addresses.  Angela could not be located at those residences.

Newer evidence suggests there is a chance that Angela could be disoriented and homeless and searching for her family. Authorities of Sacramento County, California have told one of Angela’s friends that they had an interaction with Angela within the past year and that she had been living on the streets.  It is unlikely that Angela deliberately left her family.  Her family wants her to know that they want to help her. 

Although some people purposely hide, there was no fight or legal motive to hide in Angela’s case.  For this reason, she is considered an endangered adult.  Therefore, it is best to err on the side of caution and circulate her story in hopes she can be located.

Born on January 22, 1983, Angela grew up in Clinton, Oklahoma.  After high school, she studied to become a nurse.  She then obtained a license to be an RN and was gainfully employed for several years.  It is uncertain if she is still working as a nurse.  She moved to Sacramento County, California in 2013.  She was still posting to social media up until about May of 2015.

It is out of character for Angela to not have made contact with her family for this amount of time.  Her mother passed away when she was two years old, but her father is still alive and claims he has not heard from her in years.  Her family misses her greatly and hopes she can be located. 

Angela’s physical description is as follows: Mixed race of African American and Caucasian, black or dark brown hair, brown eyes, and about 5’5″ – 5’6″ tall. She has several tattoos.  One tattoo is that of the name “Mary Beth” written very large on the center of her upper back in cursive, with one asterisk or unique star on each side.  She also has a tattoo of a teardrop on one of her upper arms.  There may be other tattoos, but they are unknown at this time.

Angela’s maiden name is Hopkins, and her married name is Allen. She may also go by Angela Hopkins Asombang or Angela Asombang Allen.
