On September 2, 2000, Roberta C. Mitchell vanished without a trace from her home at 2000 Arlington Street, Camden, New Jersey when she was 30 years old. Earlier in the day, her father, Robert J. Mitchell, gave her some money before heading off to work while she slept. He returned home to find her not present.
Roberta is mentally challenged and has the mind of a twelve-year-old child. It would have been easy for her to have been kidnapped, lured, bribed, or taken advantage of. She is a highly endangered missing adult.
At the time of her disappearance, Roberta frequented the area of 2000 Mt Ephraim Avenue and Carl Miller Boulevard in Camden.
Roberta is 5’5″ and African American with black hair and brown eyes. She weighed about 140 pounds when she was last seen. She walks with a limp because of uneven leg lengths.
In 2002, Roberta’s father sold his house at 2000 Arlington Street.
