On August 27, 1995, a man was found deceased in the Bronx, New York City, New York. He has remained an unidentified person ever since his remains were discovered. At the time of his death, he had a recognizable face, as it is believed he passed away on the same day in which he was discovered.
I reconstructed a photo of what this unidentified man looked like at the time of his death, and I hope to circulate this article in hopes someone will recognize him. There has been very little awareness on this man’s case, as there has not been a reconstructive photo in circulation of him until now.
This unidentified man is believed to have been either Hispanic or Caucasian, or a combination of the two. Keep an open mind for other possibilities, though. At the time of his death, he was estimated to have been anywhere from 15 to 26 years old, which means that he was likely born somewhere around 1969 to 1980. His height was measured at about 5’1″, and he had straight, fine black hair and brown eyes. He had a gap in between his two front teeth.
At the time of this John Doe’s death, he was wearing beige shorts, a blue plaid shirt with buttons, and sandals.
I have nicknamed this case “Hunts Point John Doe” to differentiate his case from others and to make it easier to reference. (There are several other John Doe cases from the Bronx from 1995.) Hunts Point signifies the area within the Bronx in which this man was located.
If you recognize this man, please contact the Office of Chief Medical Examiner of New York City at 212-447-2030. Please mention case number B95-03419.
